The best narrowboat shells
Whether you opt for a Personalised or a Bespoke narrowboat, we only fit out on Tyler Wilson shells, the country’s leading shell manufacturers. Tyler Wilson boats are renowned for their handling, quality, style and price retention. When you invest in a Live the Dream Narrowboat on a Tyler Wilson shell you can expect to receive a well-designed, quality boat at a very reasonable price.
Two popular layouts at a fixed price
Our Personalised narrowboats are based on one of two layouts. Either a standard configuration, with the bedroom in the stern, or the popular reverse layout with the bedroom at the bow. These can come in cruiser, semi-traditional or traditional styles and are offered at a fixed price. With this option you can then choose your own colourways, light fittings, bathroom & kitchen splashbacks, tiles and lining wood colour from our menu, all of which are included in the price.

A Host of fit out options
With the Bespoke option, once we’ve designed the layout with you, there are a host of options for you to choose from to personalise the boat to your dream specification. These include window shape and positioning, a selection of wood burning stoves, granite worktops and even a selection of roll top baths. Once the fit specification is finalised you can then choose your colourways, light fittings, splashbacks, tiles, lining wood and a whole host of other extras.
One to one planning and advice
Whichever route you take, none of our narrowboats are mass produced and with every build we are able to spend time with you planning and designing your dream narrowboat offering suggestions and alternatives from our years of building experience to create your perfect space.
The important little details
We only use materials are from well-known brands, where possible EU kite marked, and our boats all conform with the latest Recreational Craft Directive. We also offer the additional security of a new, four-year BSC certificate.
Upon completion of your narrowboat we invite you to join us for a day to familiarise you with your equipment, layout and complete any final paperwork. We take you on a short cruise and share some of our handling skills and canal etiquette with you to ensure that once you are helming alone, you are confident and safe.
