For inspiration or just to check out our track record for quality and customer service, there’s nothing like a little third-party re-assurance. We’ve asked a few of the owners of narrowboats that we’ve built over the years to share their thoughts on their experience of working with us. You can see what they said below.
Most of our customers (indeed most narrowboat owners) love to show off their creations. So, if you’d like to speak to any of our customers please drop us a line and we’ll see if we can put you in touch with them.
Skylark was built and launched in 2015 for Nick and Sophie from Sutton Coldfield. They were after a weekend cruiser as a getaway from a busy working life.
She is a 57ft long luxury narrowboat based on a Tyler Wilson traditional style Mike Christian shell. These easy-going clients worked with us to create a boat with plenty of room, year-round practicality and just enough bling to stand out from the crowd, without being too showy.
Nick said of his first boat building experience,
We absolutely loved working with the Live the Dream team from the day we decided to build our boat with them. They tamed some of our wildest ideas whilst working hard to give us a boat that’s unique in so many ways. The balance of comfort, practicality and style that resulted is a haven we can’t wait to retreat to on most weekends.
When Rich & Andrea came to us in 2017, they were considering a total of three boat yards to work with. We asked them why they ended up choosing Live the Dream and how they are enjoying their boat today.
Their amazing two to five berth 65ft narrowboat was built in the cruiser style from Tyler Wilson. She has a traditional rear deck with rail seating, a spacious josh bow and a really practical kitchen living area that makes for easy liveaboard and stylish cruising.
Andrea talked a little about her narrowboat building adventure,
Building our own Narrowboat was a fantastic experience. We had a few ideas and the team at Live the Dream helped us to create our perfect floating holiday home. Every phase was carefully planned & managed, from design to fabrication and fit out to choosing the final paint job, we felt supported every step of the way.
